    Cauliflower On The Grill

My wife doesn`t cook cauliflower and I would like to cook some on the grill.
I have a Pit Boss pellet grill.
I am hoping if I can find a good recipe for it, I can convince her to try it.
    Let`s hear your recipes.

Core it, fill cored area with butter and chopped bacon, put in a foil "bowl" that is big enough to close up and cook core side up so the butter/bacon permeate down through the head. I do this with broccoli, cabbage, brussels sprouts but haven't tried it on cauliflower but same veg family so... taste until you get the smoke level you like then seal up the packet to finish cooking to your desired tenderness level(cabbage and broccoli I like a bit crisp tender). Veg seems to pick up smoke really fast so keep an eye on it, and keep in mind once you close the foil it will lose some of the smoke flavor so go a bit past what you like for taste.

We do cauliflower and many other veggies on the pellet grill, we just did cabbage last night. We take the veggies, lightly coat with olive oil and season. It doesn’t take long, usually 20 minutes or so. We like ours still kinda crisp. Broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage are our favorites.

We cook Cauliflower in our Traeger pellet grill on a regular basis. Here's a few recipes from the Traeger site.

I might add some cheese, salt, and pepper.

I bake it in a conventional oven @350 F for 40 minutes. No reason you couldn't do the same wrapped in foil on the grill. Take out the flowers and trim the stalk of greens then cut it up. Put it all in a gallon ziplock with 1/4 cup lemon or lime juice, the same of olive oil, 2-3 tbsp powdered garlic, 1/2 tsp Greek Oregano, not Mexican and 1 tsp Italian seasoning. Add a dash of cayenne if you like it. Shake until well coated then bake, turning or tossing it at 20 minutes. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.

that grilled recipe off allrecipes looks good. I've always wondered about the cutting of "steaks" of cauliflower. This recipe explains that you sacrifice some of it for the steaks which makes sense.

In our house we like roasted veggies on the grill and oven. In the last couple of years we have expanded what we cook. My advice is start with a basic recipe and tweak it to work for you. Enjoy the adventure.
