AUCTION (100% to site): 225438 boolits

I have 100 pcs 225438 boolits left over from experiments in .222 and .22 Hornet, 80 of them as cast, and 20 of them paper patched in various combinations I had in mind to try (left wrap vs. right, cross grain vs. in line) but never got around to it. I lost interest when it became clear that, in my 1-14 rifles, this boolit just won't stay accurate to 300 yd. -- surprise -- so I'm moving on to heavier boolits. (I'm prepping for a specific local match that goes to 300 yd.)

i would like to auction these off, proceeds 100% to castboolits.

These weigh about 43 grains, and the as-cast are about .226" diameter. The paper patched ones were patched without a gas check, and have been sized about .224". (You might wish to size them again, in case the paper has relaxed a bit over time. If you strip off the patch, they will be undersize.) A few of the as-cast have a bit of flash at the edge of the base, as you can see in the detail pic.

These were cast by a small commercial gun shop. I do not know the alloy (I'm assuming they used something reasonable for .22 centerfire), and I do not have the mold.

I'll let bidding run until 6pm EDT Tuesday, April 27. (US bidders only, please.)

Whoever's high bid at 6pm EDT Tuesday, April 27, I'd like you to donate 100% of your bid amount to this site, and state in open forum that you've done so.

Then PM me your USPS mailing address, and I'll mail the 225438's. I'll pay shipping.

    Do I hear $1.00 ?

I never learn from others hard earned knowledge so I will go ahead and bid $12.50. I intend to use these in a 10" 22K-hornet Contender with a 1-14" twist.

I've got an old H&R 22 Jet rifle that I always wanted to see how cast would work. I'll go $15.00.
