I've tried the cutting a cross in the nose trick. The effectiveness on small game was quite dramatic. I don't think it does much for the ballistics though. Not only that but it looks ugly!

only seen this now, Sir: I have a lathe and some Lee Univ. Expanders_ I would be very interested in seeing your drawings (better) or photo about it, if still available.

I have not needed to use these yet, but I got the Waltz die and the Forster hollow point tool for small and large calibers. I'll have to try these out and see if they show any improvements, the reviews say they work but don't expect to make match grade ammo with them.

I bought a Waltz die with 3 tips and I've been very happy with it thus far. Need to get it to the range and find out exactly what a couple of guns want.

One is a H&R in .22lr and I noticed when sighting it in that POI shifted dramatically with different ammo.

The other is for my Heritage Rough Rider convertable. Would like to be able to bump .22lr up to where it will shoot accurately.

Roughly 3/4's of a turn puts .22lr from .222/223 up to .224. And adds a hollow point. 1.5 turns makes a bigger HP, and takes it up to .225.

    Pretty happy with my investment.
I truly believe we need to get back to basics.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you
and give you His peace. Let all of the earth – all of His creation – worship and praise His name! Make His
    praise glorious!
