Hf red no longer available. Alternatives?

I went thru all of my hf red and hf does not carry it here any more. Dayton, Ohio. I tried some other brands and colors but the coat is so thick I have a hard time sizing. Hf red covered well using shake and bake but was also thin enough to size easily. Any suggestions?

I use Smoke's traffic cone orange, zombie green, and a desert sand color (bacon grease?). Why try anything else?

Smoke's Clear. Tough, slick, and I've yet to have any sign of 'peeling' when sizing.

Btw: I began PC with HF Red...and threw away what I had left of it after two or three batches using one of Smoke's powders!!

    Prismatic Powder.

    Astatic red and Ink Black.

Get a pound of each. Total cost should be around $30 and you'll have enough powder for a lot of boolits.

I use both of these powders and they are awesome powders. If you want another powder their Clear Vision is da bomb. I have several pounds of the stuff and use it on both boolits and fishing lures.

seems we may have missed the OP’s point about having already tried other powders and their leaving too thick of a coating for his likes.

my suggestion for obtaining your preferred HF red would be to list a WTB (want to buy) in Swappin n sellin. Surely someone has some HF red they have moved on from and no longer use.
    can’t hurt to try.
