    HS 6 for 300 Blackout?

Got 8 lbs. of HS 6 and wondered if it would work in the 300 BO? Was thinking of a 10" pistol build.

I think HS6 burns too fast for 300BO. Maybe in a bolt gun with super low loads but even then you would have so much free space in the case that i wouldnt trust it. I did use TrailBoss for light 300 loads but that fills case much better. You really need slower ball powder like H110 for 300BO.

Thanks marek - with the scarcity of propellant I was just hoping. I do have some 296 and also some 2400 but had intended those for other cartridges.

I've used cfe pistol in BO, about the same speed. 8 gr max. Don't see a problem.
    Whatever!

Was that for a single shot or AR platform? Did it cycle? I'm curious.

700x is my go-to powder for heavy subs in the 300 BO. Much faster than HS-6

Magnum revolver with the 44mag topping the list. 240-265 gr lead at mid-range power! An extraordinary use!
