Wow. Thanks!!
Yes, you are a good man........
Okay, now I am curious. Have you cast these bullets yet? What do they weigh and measure? What Caliber was it sold as? The numbers provided don't seem to match up.
I wonder if it is mis-marked? Any more of the back story you could provide would help.
Walt (the owner) passed in about 2002 and after a short period of non-production the son-in-law owned the business and did things differently so maybe this mold came from that era.

Walt made me one of his 308 gas checked 180 grain DD mold years ago. Has a small wedding band just where the ogive and the nose met. Cast up some and sized to .311 for one of my Winchester 1894's. You had to over come the initial resistance when the double driving band encountered the rifling. The DD concept was Walts idea to help center the nose of the bullet in the barrel. Unfortunately lost some of my records in part to a leaky dishwasher which drained into the basement and ruined some of my load data. Said dishwasher got replaced real quick after that. Frank
Received in a lot of mold I purchased. I does come up 415 on the calipers.
Archive the NEI catalog for future reference
Thanks Good Cheer
