    What am I looking for?

I know what I would like to find but it’s a thing of the past. I used to get used 35mm film canisters and use them for tiny bits of things I was doing way back when. I want something similar for my fly tying bench, but those old film canisters are a thing of the past. I prefer not to have medicine bottles because they aren’t nearly as easy to see. Is there a modern equivalent that is readily available and similarly sized that is clear?

Well they still make 35 mm film. So the containers are still available. You might want to check photographers that have been in business for a while I bet they still have some light tight film storage canisters.

I use the empty glucose test strip containers for a variety of things. There was a member on here a few months back that was offering some up. Maybe he’ll chime in.

Pill and medicine and test supply bottles keep me supplied with small-ish bottles. If you don't have them, you will have to buy them.

Lots of sources for "plastic"bottles on the internet. The net is your friend when looking for just about anything!

)1 on the empty glucose test strip containers. If you know anyone who is a diabetic that uses test strips to check their blood glucose, ask them to save them for you. I don't have the quantity that I used to as I use a DexcomG6 constant glucose monitor and it only need to be calibrated by using a glucometer several times during the life of the sensor which is 10 days. I use the test strip containers for storing rolled pre-lubricated muzzleloading patch material, small parts, screws, etc.

I went to my local hobby lobby and picked up a package of paint sample jars, small, medium and large, they are clear plastic with a snap on lid, I use the medium to carry my medicine and supplements in my lunchbox, it's about 10 pills and tablets to give you an idea.

Both evilbay and amazon sell film cannisters, search for "35mm film canister". Handy containers!

I use the black 35mm film canisters, to carry premeasured charges for my muzzleloader. Take the top off, squeeze the sides of the canister, and forms a nice funnel to pour your powder in the barrel.

As someone who still shoots 35mm film and only film this makes me wish I’d saved all my canisters over the past decade. I’d box a bunch of them up and send them to you. I can always look around and see what I have. I know I have a bag of spools from 120 film but that won’t do you any good.

Diabetics who test frequently get the little stabbers in canisters similar to the 35mm film containers.

Those used to be aluminum and had screw on tops. I remember what we used them for in RVN...

The advantage of the test strip containers is that they are air tight, thus waterproof.

I have a few saved beck, how many do you need?

The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!
