Powdercoating and Ventilation

I really watch my ventilation (stay outside) for casting, but for powdercoating with the shake-n-bake method do I have to worry about ventilation? I live in high humidity, and would be doing 20 or so at a time, so it would be much easier to do them in my basement workshop. Thanks!

I have done some in the basement and after the 4th or 5th tray is sets off the smoke detector. Now I am using an attached 'mud room" to do my powder coating. I can open a door to the outside and I use a box fan to move exhaust air. Mud room has smoke detector but doesn't go off. Problem solved.

I do it in the basement with a toaster oven. Only get a little bit of smell that does not make it upstairs that I or the GF can tell. As far as setting off smoke detectors, sounds like maybe your temp is too high, I don’t ever see any smoke.
