Good to know...I haven’t done a lot of reading and research on bobcat and coyote trapping yet...just raccoons and possum. I’ve been using live traps and dog proof traps. No foot traps yet. To worried about catching a dog.

A lot of good you tube videos, Coon Creek Outdoors, is one that says always trap on sign. Shows how to set your trap, making it look natural. Worth a watch. I prefer to shoot them, but since our deer herd has been reduced not as many around anymore.

chasing game gets your dog killed round here. trespassing gets the same treatment for chronic offenders.. makes good crab bait.

I supported my young family for several years trapping. I’m old and retired now, but always enjoyed it. I think part of succeeding is being really into it. The best advice is to get in contact with a local organization. If you’re lucky they may even have a trapping school. There’s a lot to learn and easiest when it’s presented in an organized manner by experienced individuals. Do it the right way, so you succeed and don’t give trappers a bad reputation.
