    Lee 6 Cavity 452-255-RF Question

Did Lee ever make this mold in .454 diameter?
All I can find is Lee 6 Cavity 452-255-RF now-a-days, but the older one I'm using drops WW bullets at .454, which my
Uberti '73 rifle just loves. I'd like to get another to be able to boost production.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have the same mold. Idk as well why Lee would not currently offer a mold in .454".

All my colts shoot a .454 bullet much better than a .452. Consider yourself lucky that it casts a bit fat.

Most Lee molds cast a bit fat for sizing. I have several Lee 452s and they all drop close to .454. And I like them that way.

My double cavity 255 Lee drops 'em right at .455...........only issue I can imagine is too much case diameter reduction can really screw up seating.......tho I've shot 'em reduced to .452 and as cast with excellent results.....all with alox.

I have one about 2 years old, says .452, drops right at .454
