    Ebay and Gas Checks

Did Ebay put an end to selling Gas Checks in the last year or so? I looked on there and nothing came up.

Yes, it’s been awhile now. It doesn’t make sense, but someone in management must think they are dangerous.

They consider it a bullet which then violates their policy. Same for half jackets.

More and more, Ebay has became much like Walmart to me. The less I have to use them, the better. I still have an account with them, but it's rare that I use it. I stopped selling on Ebay when they forced Paypal down our throats.

Oh well, that's one less reason for me to visit their site.

Can't sell shotgun wads on there either. They're pretty dangerous you know...

I’m pretty much down to chisels and hand planes on eBay. Haven’t tried to buy anything for casting or reloading there in more than 10 years.

DITTOS. No more selling, no more buying. I'll fry in Hell before I give my bank data to Paypal. Not long before evilBay crammed Paypal down our throats my CC bank stopped not one but two strings of fraudulent charges, which according to them they traced back to an insider at Paypal itself. Safer way to pay? Not by my lights.

I want NO PART of either E-Bay or Pay-Pal. I also will not deal with anyone who limits themselves to those venues.

Paypal and eBay are no longer affiliated with each other and you do NOT need to use Paypal to pay through eBay anymore.

Geeze. I have been turning to ebay to ween off amazon lately. I hate to patronize amazon just on principle. Ebay isn't much better I suppose. At least you can still buy and sell molds on there. Still better than feeding the beast that is the big tech monopoly amazon.

Probably just a arbitrary decision someone made that doesn't really know anything about components.
All the concepts like common sense, logic, etc. do not apply.

Years ago, I sold a mold on ebay, with a cast boolit beside it in the picture to show what it cast.
For the ad. to be accepted, I had to specifically say the individual boolit did not come with the mold.

I browse eBay looking at molds a couple times a week. I do see gas checks listed or that come with a mold often. The prices are like everything else, high. I prefer to deal with Sages for my checks.

I don't deal with ebay anymore (haven't in 5 years or so) and if anyone on this site restricts sales to pay pal I won't buy.

Last night-Mother's Day,2021, I saw Lee slugs for sale. Probably get taken down if someone complained.

As far as gas checks goes Sages has been my go to for a long time price and quality are very good. I really like their copper checks, but have also used the aluminum ones and don't think there is much difference.
