    Shaw 300 Ham’r complete upper

I am interested in buying the Shaw 300 Ham’r complete upper for shooting CB exclusively. What they advertise as a complete upper doesn’t include the bolt carrier group (BCG). Upon calling them raising concerns of headspace variations, they assured me that using any “per spec” BCG group will work safely with this upper. Knowing modern manufacturing techniques and the use of tolerances, I am very skeptical but I only assembled three 223 AR15 rifles before (in all of them I did check the headspace with the correct gauges). Since I am not interested in buying the 300 Ham’r gauges, I wonder if what they are telling me is correct. Is there no need to check headspace on AR15 style rifles when using reputable per spec parts?

As you will be shooting cast I assume you are reloading so set your HS with your sizer/trim die. Same as pistol due to HS on the mouth.
    Whatever!
