    Winchester 353 .177 caliber pistol

Anyone familiar with the subject break action air pistol? From the little I’ve read they were a version of the model 5 made by Diana in the 60’s & 70’s.
A hunting buddy of my daughter’s FIL has one NIB he is planning on selling. It hasn’t been shot in forever.
I’m guessing even if unused, after 50 years it would need new seals or an overhaul. Any info on the pistol, value, etc. would be helpful.
I can’t tell if it has the removable front sight.

My late friend had an unworking one that we discussed and his wife has it. Maybe someday, we will figure out something. She is a gun girl now, at least an owner. I think they may be easy to fix.

There is very complete instructions on how to take it apart, fix it, and reassemble available. Just Google Diana Model 5 Disassembly, and look for a guy named Nick Carter. He is the first guy that comes up in my searches and he has pics and narrative of the full process as well as some sources for parts like the Piston Seal which is what is wrong with mine..

There is one place that has 4 or 5 links to the whole process from Nick Carter, https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/yell...y-t237613.html

    Hope this helps.

Maybe $50. Mine was given to me 40 years ago, and I have to Reseal it now as it is dead because it sat in the Safe too long.. When you start seeing brown grit in the barrel and the gun won't Push pellet thru the barrel, the Piston Seal is gone.
