That should be a real flat shooting rig. Probably hard on chamber throat and crown, but a real fun gun. How hard is loaded ammo or brass to find?

Not for cast.....come on Lloyd, we had a member here that would shoot bughole groups at 318 yards at a bazillion fps with any 6.5 whatever...

i own a 300 wby in a 700 rem classic and use it, but you do not have to shoot balls to the wall just because you can. for deer i shoot a 165 gr nosler at 2700-2800 fps and thats the same speed i load the 165 nosler in my kimber 3006.

ive got a 300 wby too. I guess i think different then you. I have enough lower powered guns that i dont down load the big ones. If i didnt want to shoot this thing full power id take out my 6.5 grendel. If i didnt want to shoot my 300 wby full power id take out my 300 h&h, one of my o6s or 308s or one of my ohter 30 cal rifles. Other then to shoot cast bullets i never saw a need to down load any rifle. Id like to have your classic though. Ive got one in 6mm 857 and 300 H&H. Other then the win featherweights there my favorite factory rifle. Really the only cast rifle shooting i do today is in my ar15s for 9s and 300 bos and 300 hamrs.
