I was gifted a pound of SR7625.
I see several loads listed for it for handguns.
I haven`t seen any discussions on here about it as I recall.
Is anyone using it how is it working for you.
Any favorite loads?

My staple loads with it for MANY years have been 6.7 gr, with a Lyman 429421 SWC IN .44 mag cases & 4.8 gr with 150 Gr SWC's in .357 mag cases.
I was also able to "duplicate" Speer Gold Dot, 40 S&W 180Gr. Short Barrel Hollowpoint personal protection factory ammunition with 5.5Gr. with Speer #4401 180Gr. Short Barrel HP,s.
I can't give you the chronographed velocities, as I'm at work. But these are BOTH nicely mild paper punching loads and have been VERY consistent for me.
When I heard it was going to be discontinued, Recob's Target Shop had it in stock & I bought 10lbs of it.
I've used these same loads for "general purpose" plinking loads for 25+ years.
Since it's demise, I stumbled onto VV "Tin Star" which gives me the same results, it's a cleaner powder than SR7625; and the velocities are on par but with .1~.2 gr less powder.
I'll miss "Good Old" SR7625 once it's used up. (It meters GREAT too)

Good powder, lots of load data in older manuals, but I think hardly anyone used it.
