I have a lube (a lot of it) called 44 Orange distributed by Multi-Standard that a friend gave me a couple of decades ago. I have used it exclusively since then. But I only cast and loaded for pistol, 9, 40, and 45, always at less than 1000fps. I'm now going to load some 30-30 at about 15-1600. I don't want to change the lube in my Star unless necessary. Anyone ever used this lube at the stated higher velocities? The distributor seems to be long out of business. Thanks for any info.
At those speeds, I'd use it.
Even if its not some some super, go faster, hi-tech lube,
you don't really need one until you get closer up around 2,000 fps.
Check out the lower temp stuff the Black Powder guys use.
They're good up to 13-1400 darn near with using chicken fat.
