NOE Chamber Length Buttons, what are they for?

Not a want or need, but NOE makes/sells these Chamber Length Buttons, and I keep wondering what is their purpose and/or use in the world of cast bullets.

They are for measuring your chamber length. Even at max saami case length, some brass is still 0.015-0.020" short of the end of the chamber. Some chambers are cut xtremely generous. If I was loading soft cast bullets, I want the transition from case neck to throat to be as short as possible.
