It's funny - I first got onto FB many years ago simply so I could easily keep up with family and friends, as most of us probably did. Over the years, however, I've been drawn like a magnet towards the anti-gun lunatics and started taking them on quite heavily with facts - didn't make me popular at all and I experienced many attempts at doxxing, trying to find my workplace, etc.

More recently I've gotten the typical FB bans - not that I care a whole lot but it does irk me a little that FB never looks at the context of my comment. For example, I once mentioned the cynical and awful 'Arbeit Macht Frei' slogan above the gates of Auschwitz - and FB promptly decided that my quoting that phrase implied support for Nazis, the boneheads.

Yesterday I was in the midst of tackling a whole bunch of anti-gunners on a Lefty page and (in my opinion) slaughtering them with facts when some person said "Oh, we'll just go to gun-owners' houses and take their guns" to which I replied "You'd better take lots of friends and lots of body-bags". Just a warning that it wouldn't end well for anyone if they were dumb enough to do that - but of course FB claims it was "Hate Speech" and shut me down for 3 days.

Anyone else get this kid of thing?

My daughter helped create me an account on FB about 2-1/2 years ago. I found and got reacquainted with some military friends. I also enjoyed many of the memes but now the ads, government news, and censorship creates animosity. FB can fade away and it wouldn’t bother me.

I've spent about 15 minutes on FB, and never had a problem with them or any of the social media platforms.

If I want to 'connect' with somebody, I go over and visit them, or call 'em on the phone.

Never had any urge to get on facebook, twitter, myspace, ect. I even yell at family if they put pictures of me on those types of sites. I always get the same response from them, what if someone is looking for you? To which I reply if I'm not still talking with them there is probably a reason.

Seeing all the drama that revolves around those sites though I doubt I would last more than an hour or two before I was banned.

I don’t have FB anymore, got it about ‘05 or ‘06 while in college and quit them about 2010. Too much anti American bs and too many “poor me, look at me” crybaby snowflakes. If you need to talk to me text or call me...

Been to FB Jail on several occasions.....I got to the point that I truly dont give a rat about their policies and their "independent fat head checkers" as they have a socialist and in my opinion a communist slant.....if the sheeple would grow up and do the research they would see how they are getting managed by FB and the Federal Govt.

Like many, I set up a FB page solely to be able to keep up with a couple of girls that are like daughters to us. From the get go, the only photo I put up (instead of my own) was an image of Wyatt Earp. When I set it up, I also wrote a short quip about an old west gunfight - nothing terrible - a guy went up against another guy in a shootout - the jest of it ws that he lost because he forgot to make sure his Colt '51 Navy was "capped". This was quite few years ago and kind of odd how the short story got "wiped out" by FB. My attitude? Screw 'em.

Congresss refused to do anything about the hi techies and their censorship when President Trum0 was in office - I though the "inaction" on the part of both the Left and the Right spotke volumes on who is in whose pocketket.

Facebook? It's about time they get censored . . . . .

Never used them or any other social media site. When Verizon dropped there email to AOL, I got access to the today on AOL or whatever it is. Could post on articles. They rejected so many of my responses for using just facts that if I type in anything, i.e. Hi, the post is blocked within seconds as I appear to be against their community guidelines. Oh well. I did manage to make a few think especially when they started finding out what left media was not reporting. Then basically banned.

Mark Zuckerberg may be the greatest marketing genius since P.T. Barnum. In fact, I will even say that he bested P.T. Barnum.

Zuckerberg knew that humans are inherently and deeply narcissistic. AND he found a means to exploit that trait.

Facebook doesn't exist because it provides a platform for people to keep in touch with "friends and family". You can do that with e-mail, zoom, video calls, etc. Facebook exists because it provides a platform for people to tell others about themselves and Facebook can sell advertising on that platform.

I see where you're coming from and totally get your point, but I'm going to disagree for one specific reason: I'm not trying to change the mind of the person with whom I'm arguing (I don't give a rat's ass what they believe because I doubt they'd change their mind) - I'm showing an alternate viewpoint and facts to the larger, mostly silent audience.

I guess I'm ornery that way - I refuse to let Commies have it all their own way to spew outright lies and BS without challenging them, particularly on the subject of firearms and 2A rights (plus it's fun to light them up and leave them spluttering with rage - heh).
