    i like a mix of fescue and bluegrass. Just make sure when you buy it you look at the label that says what seed it in it and that at least 75 percent of it is perennial sead and as little annual as possible. Annual will only grow one season and will die over the winter. perenial will grow and even spread.

    Go ask your neighbor if you can sweep his barn hay mow floor. Lots of seeds there that are native to your area.
