That’s a sweet gun. Unique and beautiful. Easily the longest stock I have ever seen, and it even looks like it’s a 1 piece stock. Unreal.

    Yes one piece, definitely slim

RU: no hearing protection needed. Far from your ears! Maybe as loud as mild 22 out of rifle?

This is awesome. Do you know what the maker set out to achieve by building this? Seems like a full custom job and not a kit.

    Zarrin:
Maker was known for small bore rifles
Sadly he has gone to the range in the sky

Now that cool ! Not my thing but still very cool . What's that style of Fowler called ? Has a distinctive shape in the butt
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

I am wired completely different...guns are tools. Looks not only difficult to use in the woods, but relatively useless.

I know...I should keep quiet if I have nothing nice to say....but this thing is silly.

BTW, showed the picture to my fiancé. Can't post her comment without getting banned.

    I love this!

I have a funny little inline .32 muzzle loader I still haven't shot yet. Got it as a hedge against .22 LR shortages, but woill likely be fun anyway. I need to get off my butt and shoot it.

Nice cat, by the way. I had a big friendly tomcat for a while that would follow me in the woods and sit with me when I squirrel hunted, wish he was still around.

I believe that gun was designed for market hunting ducks from a boat, similar to a punt gun.

You seem to have a lack of education. That big fowling gun wasn't made for the woods. It was made to shoot ducks and geese sitting on the water. That is why it's called a fowling gun. These were quite common on the eastern fly ways. You might want to read some books. I suspect any comments by your fiancé' came from the lack of satisfaction you're able to provide.

Did you make that or is it an original? Very cool, would be fun to shoot once.

I would have thought that the projectile would tumble/keyhole with smooth bore.

Now I want one -- maybe the "boy's rifle" version. jd

I made it some years ago. I made another 1/2 dozen or so with 60" barrels too. The reenactor guys out east love them.

Hudson Valley is in NY. Hudson's bay is WAAAYY up north in Canada. Henry Hudson probably discovered both of them.

Your not trying hard enough than. The keyhole one hit further from. Where I'm aiming, I'm sure of it.
