How spent can the brass be?

    Hello All,

I’m new to the idea of Swaging jacketed bullets from brass and cores. Particularly interested in making 45 ACP. But my question is a general one.

How spent can the brass be? Can split or cracked brass be used for a jacket? Or must the brass be good in quality (still reloadable)?

    Thank you
