    Got lucky

I saw that Brownells had some primers in stock a little while ago and scored some small rifle primers. I'm pleased as these were the only ones that I was a little short on.

    "HAD' is the operative word.

Oh well, at least some are coming in here & there.

I found a box of 28 gauge shotgun shells at our local Walmart. Will hit a few( there aren’t many) small gun shops in the next few weeks to see if any reloading components exist.

I was in S.S. Fl last week, LGS had 2 LPP sleeves and 2 of something I could't ID. Really OLD stuff.
    Whatever!

In a LGS 2 weeks ago - guy came in with a couple large boxes of assorted cartridges/reloading stuff - left with 2 guns from the dealer who then had a few less empty shelves. Primers did not last long !

That's what my neighbor & I did last week.
I went in with 900 factory .223 and left with a few pounds of powder, some odds & ends, and a Henry Golden Boy on order.
Two days later, 600 of the .223s were gone.
I traded another few hundred of berdan primed 7.62 for a NIB 1980 issue Ruger Mk1.
Our local guy was glad to get them too. He's about the only place around that has any ammo at all.

More than I was used to paying but still cheaper than gunbroker.

Good score! I've mostly forgotten about Brownell's these days.

I've been keeping my eyes peeled for some Federal 209As...I came into some Alliant Steel, and almost all of the recipes light it with 209As. I have pretty much every other kind of shotgun primer. Grrr.

So far no luck, but finger's crossed!

Went in GT Distributors yesterday, had 9 mm ( 50 boxes)and 40 FMJ at old prices, $14.99 for the 9 with 2 box limit. Went shooting in newest indoor range, they had assorted pistol ammo at $34 for 9mm and up for other. Got to buddies repair shop to tell him about the 9 at GT, he called and they had sold out in less than 1 1/2 hours.
