    Amazing resource.

I just wanted to say that this forum has some amazing resources and members. I stumbled across this site a few years ago in my 20s while doing some research for college. I soon fell down the rabbit hole reading about casting and the next thing I knew, I was the owner of a Lee 10lb pot and a Lee two cavity mold. Several years of lurking later, I now have a garage filled with various molds and lead ingots and my wife hates it. The members of this forum have been so gracious and helpful. Being a young father of two, I didn't have a ton of resources to dedicate. Half of my equipment has come from very one sided trades from members here. Just last week I was attempting to buy a 300wthby trim pilot and a member sent me one for free and flat refused to even let me pay shipping. In todays generation of instant gratification and participation trophies, an outlet like this is amazing for bringing in new shooters. Without the advice, knowledge and pure kindness of the members here, I would be years behind in my process. Now I am distributing cast boolits to all of my friends that reload who are more than happy to give them a try during the current shortage and doing my best to get as many new casters in the game as possible. Thanks for the hospitality and showing me a new lifelong addiction folks!

Folks are very generous here and I can only remember a few times when someone has tried to take advantage of it. It really is an incredible place.

I'm glad everything is working out for you plus it sounds like you have your straight. You mentioned your wife does not like your hobby... remind her you're not hanging out in bars etc. Once my wife started shooting and competing it was carte blanche for me on anything I wanted/needed ;^)

She doesn't mind it, shes just always trying to jockey for garage space. We have a literal line drawn in the garage. She does her crafts on one side and I do mine on the other.

all the women in my life are much more interested in these new fangled pink camouflage guns than stainless or blued metal or black plastic--its a good thing--family that plays together stays together.
maybe you could surprise your wife with a pink camo shooters vest and outdoor boots.

Yup, wonderful folks here. Like the old saying goes, what goes around, comes around. I've always treated people like I would want to be treated. Lots of friends, neighbors, fellow shooters, and the good people here have helped me out through the years, and I try my best to reciprocate likewise.

I've observed that when you get a new guy to shoot, we get another shooting member, that's great. But if you get a gal to shoot, you get the whole family involved, better yet!

Good afternoon Coopaloop86. I just had to comment on your post by saying that you are one of the prime reasons this place exists and your paying it back by helping other shooters stay in the game by giving them some of your boolits, and just being a good resource for them. I agree totally with your thoughts about the members here. What Ron (MrWolf) said about the people being very generous with their knowledge and even some of their stuff is spot on. Sounds like your wife is good at supporting your new found hobby. It is a fantastic hobby for sure.

This is a great forum. Besides getting information on casting and gun related topics, I’ve gotten a lot of help for other unrelated projects I’ve had. The members have a wealth of knowledge beyond firearms.
