    #1000 post

I would like others will use this post to thank all the great, knowledgeable people here that have helped me in this great hobby.

When I joined I didn’t know anything about casting my own boolits. Picked up an old mold from an old friend in town and started casting, with very poor results i might add. As time went on and my obsession grew, I’ve acquired a ton of ww both clip on and stick on. Cast a lot of 9mm, 45acp, 303 British, 30 caliber, .224 etc.

Ain’t saved any money yet, but can shoot a lot more than if I didn’t cast my own. Ive been a life long reloader, didn’t know what I didn’t know till I started casting my own boolits, and using the shake and bake method of powder coating.

Anyway thanks to all you guys and galls who have helped me along the way, get to where I am today, Hossfly. Yea now ill have a boolit in my repatwa.

The whole casting to save money is the lie we tell ourselves and our spouses to justify the cause. Lol.

Ammo is cheaper but then you shoot three to four times more. So it breaks even. Tooling is a long term investment that takes a couples years to return.

    Don't give up just yet.
The big savings don't come right away. ,,,, They sort of accumulate over time.

I knew how to reload 12ga for trap shooting before I found this place. I am just selling some factory ammo I bought during the 2013 panic to recoup my costs as I don't shoot factory ammo anymore. Since joining here my supplies, presses, toys, lead, moulds, etc have increased substantially. Loving every minute of it especially being divorced and retired. Life is good. The posts go quick especially with the amount of knowledge here. Good luck and have fun.

Heck, I've been a member here for 10 years, and I just busted through the #50 post.

Lately I've been appreciating this Forum for the people, the information, fellowship, and "The Feel" that exists here. This is WAAAAYY more than cast bullets.

Almost everywhere that ya go, you can find that guy who has way more to say, than needs to be said, about things that hardly need to be talked about. -- I'm trying to not be that guy anymore. jd
