That is good shooting ! I don't do that good off the bench.
You gotta love a new gun that the first shot is dead center

I went back and found someone else who was willing to hold my phone for a bit.

I wasn't muscling the pistol, preferring to go for accuracy over recoil-control - my thumb-position is a bit weird and I realized on seeing the video that I must have been trying to avoid the barrel-latch:

Can't change the front-sight, no - it's all one piece with the barrel. This pistol is a pleasure to shoot - very very reliable (unlike many of the originals) thanks to over 50 improvements the new company made, plus their in-house magazines.

I remember first seeing the Automag in 1973 in a small LGS in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (of all places) where I lived at the time.
It was awesome and beautiful and expensive and every guy desired it, like an exceptionally beautiful head-turning young woman.
As a low-income teenager just barely able to vote, both were sadly out of my league.

Thank you - it was a lot of money and a long time coming but so worth it in the end.

I admit to holding it not 100% tight - I was more concerned with accuracy - but it seems to feel little more comfortable to shoot than the shorter 6.5"

Wow, gorgeous gun. I wish my Dad was still alive, he had a Wildey, and the Grizzly by LAR both in 45 win mag. But he always wanted a good 44 Auto Mag.

I love my original 357 Automag. Sadly due to the silliness of my government, I cant have the new 44 and the company has no plans for making a new version in 357 or 30 AMP... Bit of a bummer..... It was take my cash now....

They're apparently looking into .357 AMP for the future; there's a lot of interest from buyers as it's an awesome cartridge, but I assume they have to get the .44 orders out the way first.
