Need help to confirm if this is a genuine star?

This is the only pic I have to go by.

As far as I can tell comparing it to other photos I've seen I believe it is a genuine Star.
It also appears to have a bullet feeder installed.
I should have it in my hands by the end of next week along with my new to me Magma Caster.

I believe that the handle is there behind the power cord.
I think it has a ball on the end of it right above the black part of the heated base.
On second thought that may be the power plug.

Edit: Can't find a way to look at Handloaders Digest 12th edition without a credit card.

Yes, it's a Star Sizer, on an older Magma heated base. The bullet feeder is also Magma. The handle is laying towards the back and has a black knob on it. The handle has been installed in the rear position, I would guess for storing, or shipping. It also appears to have a couple of extra sizer dies with it.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

The bullet moulds for the Magma Caster are dated July-02 and Nov-03.
I’m assuming the sizer is from the same era.

Hopefully the extra sizing dies match the 2 additional moulds which are brand new.

Are you buying a Master Caster, or a Bullet Master? I've got both.

    It’s a Master Caster.
More than enough for my needs.

You'll be happy with it, as it makes long casting sessions so much easier. Mine is down for repairs at the moment, but I'll get it up and running with a new thermostat shortly.

Are you using a PID Controller?
    If not you should.
I did one for my Lee pot for less than $40.

No, I'm not. Electronics aren't my strong suit, and I'd probably just screw it up if I tried.

Yup it's real, just like mine. Feeder can be fussy. I put a nail as a post in the slide and operate manually. Should have bullet tubes as well. If not 1/2" copper works

The sizer looks like an original Star, not a Magma made machine, so it is older than older than 02. 1997 at the latest, but probably older than that. Not that that's a problem.
