Trust me I agree with you gov agency is a recipe for headaches , bureaucrats are the bane of civilization , and having dealt with building and planning , inspectors , atf and sheriffs dept I know how one persons misreading of a law or rule leads to a lot of headaches .

they have some neat looking molds, but I'm leery of Illinois customs idiots

Never received any molds nor did I receive a letter from customs yet.

Sometimes its necessary, but normally, I try not to buy much from outside the US because of the customs issues.

No matter which side of the border they're on, they tend to "move at the speed of government".

I ordered 2 molds last month from Mihec and got them UPS within 10 days. I saw he was trying to get UPS/FedEx to ship for him, apparently they are. It's easy to say when you're outside looking in but don't give up, they'll get here.

Anything going thru IL customs goes into purgatory and stalls for weeks... I ordered a clock kit and it stalled there for 8 weeks! Took 5 complaints to get it moving again

I got a refund on mine. I heard through the grapevine that he has switched to UPS. So I think based on that and RKJ... things are back up and running.

What did you do/who did you complain to in order to get your package moving?

I ordered two molds from him the last week in April using UPS shipping and had them in a few days.
