Nice knife, what’s the finish on the blade?
Very nice , I think the scales go well with the finish on the steel .
the finish is just a simple beadblasting with glass
Knife looks good, I've been a fan of true Lignum Vitae for many years. That stuff is hard to get these days. The stitching on the sheath looks like a machine - is it? If it's hand stitching you really did good.
How did you heat treat the steel? I've heard A2 is good stuff but never used it.
yes i handstitch all my sheaths
i send my HT out to a freind. he does it just like uddeholm (steel manufacturer)
say he should
Very clean work and a most useful blade profile. Any idea re hardness?
The hardness of the blade was measured to 59-60hrc
