When every field was a trap field

I guess it is an age thing... who didn't learn on one of these?

Didn't recognize the box, had to google it. Yah, those were tough for kids to do the throwing with. I bought one somewhere a few years ago for deco in the garage. Ebay is full of them from under $10 up to $80, guess they aren't quite collectible yet. The red plastic ones, (maybe late 70s early 80s, might still be made) seemed to be much easier to throw with...much easier to manufacture too.

Take a kid to the range, you'll both be glad you did.

We had the thrower but the box was long gone. The first time I had use of a thrower that sat on the ground and was powered by a large spring was the last time I used the hand thrower !

I put my time in with one of those.

When I discovered the nearest town 35 miles away had a rod and gun club with 3 trap houses and a skeet range I joined.
Never went back to the hand thrower.
I truly believe we need to get back to basics.

    Get right with the Lord.
    Get back to the land.
Get back to thinking like our forefathers thought.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you
and give you His peace. Let all of the earth – all of His creation – worship and praise His name! Make His
    praise glorious!

I started on one of the red plastic ones from K-Mart I think, you had to get the wrist flick just right to make the birds really fly.
