Got The New Christmas Present Out

I found this gun at Christmas time and decided to buy it. It is a real nice original 1886 Deluxe 45-70 There were plenty of rocks to sight it in on out to and beyond 100 yards. I didn't have to adjust the sights at all, I just shot the gun as it came, no disappointments...

Very nice. My very first lever was a Marlin in 45-70. Loved it.

As much as I enjoy my 1895 Cowboy, it doesn't have the same character to it as that rifle exhibits. It just looks fully complete with no need for any embellishments. Beautiful stock, is it original? Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful wood in that stock, Shapnel, and very nice overall. You treated yourself right at Christmas!

Hunting rocks sounds fun. What recipe do you use to cook 'em?

Seriously, very nice rifle. Any .45-70 is fun and that one is great.
