    Heavy Hollowpoint for .40 / 10mm

I would like to see a .400 mold that weighed 200 grains solid or at least 180 grains with a hollow point. I am not sure why everybody seems to be gravitating towards 160 grains or less for the 10mm and .40 S&W.

Mihec has nothing with a HP that is this heavy. Maybe if he ever gets caught up...

Thanks for the info, Gamsek. I did look on Mihec's website, I didn't see this mold listed, but it is exactly what I would want.

Maybe he has some left, not listed in his web shop. Try to send him an email, this is how I get few of my MP’s - not listed, from
Old group buys.... For best response use this email

I have a couple different molds to 200g in HPs for the .400

For a real heavy I BUY THEM. I know I know, But I just dont use enough to really justify the mold Cost. Anyhow. i buy them from GT bullets AS CAST so I powder coat and size then. Good prices various hardnesses and quantities.

They shoot really well In all my 10mms. I load the heavy load with blue dot to almost 1200 fos from my long KKM barrel. They expand to the bottom of the HP with a beautiful mushroom.

Might be a option for you too before ya decide.

cwlongshot, I WILL order some heavier hollowpoints from GT Bullets before buying a mold. We will see how they shoot out of a carbine...and some .401 Herter revolvers. Wait time is currently three months, but what isn't out of stock or on back order these days?

    Thanks!

I use an NOE 200 WFN with hollow point pins. It is not the same one that he now lists, mine is a more semi-auto friendly profile. I use it in 610's, Astra's, and 1911's.

The Oreo design is awesome. Try to get another group buy together. The 200 grain solid hits with authority out of my 6 inch G20 with more energy than a 357 magnum.

I have that mold 403 200grain wfn I am using the hollow point it weighs 183 grains , feeds in my S&W where the lighter ones are to short never have made it as a solid , probably should .

I made a mistake , I glanced at the mold and it was brass with hollow point pins , but it is a NOE mold with the NOE pin style , I apologize for my mistake .

The last I checked, they had a three month backlog of orders.

Correction: I just checked again and it is over four months now.

I am not sure exactly how Mihec runs his group buys now, but I would be eager to help out.

I'd be very interested in the 200-220 grain variant.
