    Heavy flannel shirts.

For years I've been wearing Duluth flannel shirts. Today I checked out carhartt flannel shirts in person at tsc. They seemed okay but the fit wasn't as good as I like. I take a 3xlt normally.

So, is there any other brands I should consider?

I bought 3 of the Carharts Sunday at Cabelas. Usually buy XX but went with XL for a good fit. Supposedly pre-washed and don't shrink as much. Bazoo you're a pretty good sized old boy!

I really like the Filson Alaskan Guide flannel shirts. They are heavy, warm, soft and long lasting. They are pricey, but I've never had a better flannel.

Yes sir I am hogtamer, I'm 6'5" and 360 lbs.

I checked out the filson Alaskan guide shirt. Website I seen says imported but doesn't say where. Canada? China?

    Thanks for the replies.

I got 3 of them, 1 from Morrocco, 1 from Sri Lanka, and 1 from El Salvador.

    Indeed!

I bought a lot of shirts from Cabela's over the years. Their quality was great and the prices were fair. Now that Bass Pro bought them out their shirts aren't nearly as good. I'm still looking for a new source.

2 duluth shirts lasted me 5 years. Now they both have small holes and the cuffs are frayed. Course I wear clothes till it looks like I'm homeless.

You guys should check out www.dungarees.com. For Carhartt clothing. I’ve been using them exclusively. Great prices, and free shipping on orders over $55.00. I buy a lot of their seconds, and never noticed a flaw. Great website. Bazoo, they have flannel shirts in your size.

Thanks for the site marlin. My canvas and flannels from cabelas are starting to show their age unlike me ( ha,ha). Most all my S/S T-shirts and L/S have all been carhartt since about two years ago. Have some nylon faced hunting pants I use for quail hunting around your area along with bibs and vests but never bought any flannels from them. As I look at the thermometer now it's 14 degrees. Time to get that put on the Santa list for Christmas. Hmmmm, flannels by Carhartt. My favorite type shirt, my favorite type weather, my favorite company, whats not to like.

I purchased my last batch of flannel shirts from Legendary Whitetails. I caught them on sale with free shipping, IIRC. I need tall because once you wash flannel the sleeve length tends to shrink. They are imported but most everyone else's are, too. I don't purchase the heavyweights, we don't get that cold here. But their standard weight is much heavier than the Cabela's, Lands End or L.L. Bean' s, I have purchased in the past.

Me Too! I need a tall size shirt. Cabelas had the best shirts until the Bass Disaster.

I just wish someone made a wool shirt as good as the Army's Shirt, cold weather, M1952, OG108. Unless you are a midget, the surplus ones in normal sizes are long gone.

I like the insulated flannel shirts when Im out doors. I wore a lot of flannel shirts going to school and out and about. I have several levels of clothes I wear. Good almost new when Im in public, Worn and faded around the house, The "homeless" look when painting or dirty work. The homeless usually dont get washed after that last job just tossed in the trash. I always kept an old frayed holy work uniform in my locker at work, when I got a dirty nasty job I put it on and then when dine threw it away and put the good one back on. Saved me from wearing the nasty one home in my truck and having to wash it.

I generally buy two flannel shirts and wear them till consumed then buy two more. I have 5 pair of pants currently and that's an all time high for me. I have 5 t shirts, 2 of which aren't full of holes. I am not a person to have large numbers of clothing.
