    98 SR Rifle Stock Project

    I know it is not perfect, but it was fun for an 70-year-old to try.
    Checkering is 20 to an inch and the grip cap and forearm piece are Black Palm
    That is my Lab Gunner sniffing the barrel.

    Looks good! I can only imagine carving on walnut like that and checkering in the lowlands, good job.

    I would be happy if I could do just the checkering but the carving is excellent and I have no hope of ever doing that!

    Thanks, guys, there were a few times I wanted to throw up my hands but was too Bull Headed to let it win. My wife's encouragement was a great help.

    My wife said I am spooky because I could see the game scene already in the wood. Like the knothole in the tree.
