    election day present for myself

had a complete lower build on an 80 percent bare sitting on the shelf. Was procrastinating on buying an upper because prices went up about a 100 bucks on them. Got thinking the other day that this might be the end of them and if i want to get one id best get it done. So i bucked up and ordered a complete upper from psa. Tracking shows its suppose to be here this morning. Had a bare upper but when i priced the hard to find parts it ended up only costing 5 bucks more to buy it complete. So now on this day that is probably the most nervous day in history for gun owners i not only added another ar to the collection but one of those evil 80 percent non serialized evil things. Hopefully tonight or in a couple days i can fire a salute with it to celebrate a conservative win!

I picked up a couple raw AR lower forgings at Knob Creek years ago for a buddy. He had an old Bridgeport mill and actually got both of them up and running. I have one AR, built on a Bushmaster lower. The upper is a non assist Colt A1. Have a Trijicon reflex sight forward mounted off the carry handle. Ballistic Advantage 16" mid weight barrel. Ace Stock. Captured buffer spring. Vortex flash hider Velocity trigger. Chromed bolt and carrier. Magpul hand guard. Yankee flip up front sight/ gas block. Weapon light. Wilderness sling. Shoots ball ammo near moa. Have over 3K of that. Probably 30 mags.

Had thoughts of building another with an 18" gunner barrel but bought a few revolvers instead. Trump is going to win Lloyd.

I have not broken down any of my AR's into small 'hideable' parts, 2 Colts & 1 Sun Devil remain standing tall and ready. Two are custom, & the Colt in a pre ban Match Target. The customs were great fun to build. Enjoy yours. At the range I see about 75% 'black guns these days, all ages. If they are 2A voters (like me), were safe Vote! I do agree with Charlie: Trump will win, America has not gone crazy, yet.

Yup and i said back then that i built one to see what it was all about and this is that one. Would i do it again? NOPE. That lower cost me 20 bucks more then a serial numbered one and at least an hour of work that i could have used to load ammo. Add to that in michigan you cant even use them for an ar pistol build unless you get a serial number. Anymore if i buy a lower i register it as a pistol and that way can use it as a pistol or rifle. Ive got 16 ar's right now. I think big brother knows i own ars and many guns. Even my deer rifles i bought new are on record somewhere. Dont see the big deal about one that doesnt. Heck just buy a used ar if your worried about it. Numbers in someone elses name then. Keep them from getting your guns? Heck id about bet those will be the first ones they come for. May not know you have it but it would make it so that you sure wouldnt bring it to the range and shoot it. I dont need guns to hide. I want guns to shoot. But go back and dig up that post and youll find that i did say i had ONE and i still think there a waste of money compared to a machined lower that costs less. I wouldnt reload or cast if i could buy ammo already loaded cheaper. I wouldnt buy a car part by part at napa when i can buy a whole car cheaper at the chev dealer.

You "can" put your own number, name and address on it. Then it will be like any other rifle.

yes you can if you register it with the batf but doesnt that defeat the only real advantage to doing one in the first place. Unless its just that your wallet is to heavy.

Lloyd: maybe you should have wished that all the Democrat poll workers got food poisoning and stayed home last Tuesday?

you arent kidding there pal! What i did do is when i picked up my upper he had a complete built lower sitting there so i bought it too. That and ive been having a weird issue with the one i have my colt lower on that somehow seems to be a problem with the bare lower. Ive tried many combinations of trigger parts and it just doesnt work right. So i also ordered a cartridge trigger. If that doesnt fix the problem ill toss that lower and us this one. I figured right now it was a better gamble then the stock market. Either there going to ban them all and ill loose money or they will ban any more being sold and that would make mine worth MONEY! The 80 percent gun is up and running. I think this new one ill just build one without optics. Ive got a carry handle new in the drawer and dont have anymore red dots or scopes to put on it so ill slap the carry handle on it until I decide if im going to keep it or not. SURE dont need another. But its a sickness with me.

You probably won't die from that sickness! As opposed to the other sickness that is plaguing this country,,, and I'm not talking Covid 19!
