I'm not involved with knives most of the time as my interests vary widely. The first knife started out as just an exercise in pounding metal. Somewhere in the process it started to resemble a knife. Scales are wild cherry scraps in my wood stock. I was pretty happy with it but my son was happy enough to claim it for his. Rivets , scales and blade were all made from stock on hand.
The second was a restoration for my best friend. this Kbar lived under his truck seat for 20+ years and was in bad need of restoration. Having never tried stacked leather before I was a sucker for something new. He and I both were pretty pleased with it . He has assured me it will not reside under the truck seat any longer.
Those are a couple projects that have escaped the confines of my shop in the recent past.
