    A Newbie Hits the Jackpot

    Hello everyone,

    First of all I wanted to thank you for all the knowledge you've passed on. You have taught me to cast. (correctly) Having so much experience in one place is priceless. I've never had to ask a question because anything I wondered about I was able to find using the search function.

    I really hit the jackpot the other day. I've been buying lead from a local scrap yard but I happened to hit it on the day the truck tire dealer hauled in their ww's. I stood by the full 55 gallon barrel and picked over 400 lbs. In the plain lead barrel I found, and bought, over 100 lbs of pure pb ingots plus another 50 or so pounds of roof sheathing.

    I'm not kidding I felt like a kid at Christmas. My beautiful wife (my avatar) even tried to look excited!

    I will be checking it out again tomorrow.

    Yes they are! Helps take the sting out of the buckets from the tire shop that are 80% everything But pb!
