Here’s a video where John Barnett tracks signs of the end times in our world.

In no way whatsoever is Satan a "stooge" of God.
Nothing in the Bible would support that view.
In 1st. Corinthians 2:6>8, Paul gives a good example, (KJB).

Verse 6, "Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:"
Verse 7, "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:"
Verse 8, "Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory."

What Paul is telling us is that if the "princes of the world", (those being ruled by Satan,) had known of God's plan of redemption for Gentiles by the shed blood/death/resurrection of Jesus they would not have crucified Jesus.
That is why God's plan for the Gentiles was never written about in the OT, else Satan would have tried to stop it.
Instead, Satan was happy to get Jesus crucified, he thought that would be the end of God's efforts to redeem any more people to Him other than a few Jews.
Satan already has gotten 1/3 of the angels of heaven to follow him, and he's spent the last ~6,000 years trying to get everybody on this planet to reject God.
He's not a "stooge" by any stretch of the imagination.

Yeah, John Barnett is one of the guys who is an encyclopedia of scripture.
I lightheartedly call him the "professor", and like most professors he can easily expand 20 minutes into 1/2 an hour. LOL.

    No.
    Stooge is the wrong word.
I can't say what a stooge is, aside from the three of them.
So I googled it and thus... cut and paste...

    stooge /sto͞oj/ noun
    1. derogatory
a person who serves merely to support or assist others, particularly in doing unpleasant work.
"he seems more like a stooge than a master criminal"
    2. a performer whose act involves being the butt of a comedian's jokes.
    "the stooge is offstage"

No, the deceiver is nobody's stooge. We must not be his stooge.

Do our words proceed from faith when we’re debating the definition of “stooge”?

Can we proceed with the understanding that the devil is a catalyst in a creative process of separating the slag and dross from the refined?

The entire Old Testament was written about and pointing us towards Jesus.

    Genesis 12:3
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

    Psalms 22:27
27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

    Zechariah 2:11
11 And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.

    Isaiah 49:6
6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

It is somewhat foolish to think that satan was oblivious to God's plan for the redemption of the world by means of the shed blood/death/resurrection of Christ...

Maybe that ole devil thought the shedding of animal blood was a permanent thing and missed all the OT prophecy telling of the coming of Christ. lol

So you would have us believe that somehow Satan knew that the Jews would reject Christ but had no clue that everyone else would not.

Furthermore, If He (Satan) would have known then he somehow would have tried to keep Christ off the cross?

You obviously have no clue as to what Paul was talking about in 1st Corinthians 2:6>8.
Yes, all thru the OT it was prophesied that the Messiah would come, and that He would be sacrificed.
Yes, Isaiah spoke of a "pathway", but the details of that pathway were not given.
Nowhere was it prophesied that his shed blood/death/rising, would be that pathway to salvation for Gentiles.
That whole plan of salvation for Gentiles was one of the mysteries that Paul was given directly by God/Jesus.
And Satan did not know of God's plan, if you think he did, then you're contradicting Paul.
Read 1st Corinthians 2:6>6 a few times slowly, if you still don't understand it, find a teacher who can explain it to you.

I posted (1 Corinthians 2:6-8) above "Your Statement" that Satan thought crucifying Jesus... the Son of God, would end the Father's efforts to redeem his children... and it seems even more idiotic the second time around.

I have been hoping that you would open a thread on your false doctrine that there is a separate salvation plan for Jews and Gentiles, so that we could dismantle it piece by piece with sound scripture without hijacking someone else's thread.

Might be a good idea to lower your meds by a full dose.

If you cannot or will not understand that the death/burial/resurrection of Jesus signified a change in the gospel of salvation for both Jew and Gentile than you'll never be able to discern, (rightly divide,) scripture.
We live in the age of grace, the OT prophets, (and the disciples,) were not "given the picture", so to speak that there would be an "age of grace" that would last for ~2,000 years before Jesus would return to set-up His kingdom.
Unless one can understand that the books of Paul, (Romans>Philemon,) are THE books for the age of grace then one will again have trouble in correct application of scripture.
There is a reason that even though the book of James was written ~10>15 years before Romans that it comes after ALL of Paul's books.
What I have said before is that there are different plans for the "Church" and the Jews in the Kingdom and Heaven to come.
But if one doesn't understand 1st. Corinthians 6:2>3 then they'll not understand that, or will they understand that the Jews have been redeemed for Earth, and the Church has been redeemed for Heaven.
One must understand that the "Church" is both Jew and Gentile who have come to salvation during the age of grace.

Looks like Jews and Christians have been allowed some amount of prayer on the Temple Mount for the last month.

These are amazing moments to be alive and see prophecies come to pass.
Are people chosen to purposes for the time in which they walk the Earth? Beats me. But I have no doubt about this being the end times that the prophets of old were looking forwards to. We're here and it's going down so buckle up.

Over breakfast the wife asked me if I'd ever thought about what my life would have been like if I didn't have faith in God and if He hadn't been a part of my life, if He hadn't been taking care of us. I have no answer to that. It's beyond me to even make much of a guess.

    Hey Cheer
I read your post this morning and couldn't help feeling a bit of terror and had to stop and thank the Good Lord for saving me from myself and paying my toll.

"the horror the horror" could have been really bad!

    Thanks for the post

Just something to marvel at (for me that is) is how technological advances so suddenly changed thousands of years of mankind's capabilities and Palestine went from the fallow near anonymity of Samuel Clemens day to the geopolitical hot potato of the third day.
    Right on schedule!

    Judea Gets a New Name
As early as 300 BCE, the term Judaea [Judea] appears, most likely to describe the area where the population was predominantly Jewish. It was distinguished from Palestine and Syria. Coins with the word Judaea or something similar were produced at the time of the first Jewish revolt (66-70 CE). In the 2nd century CE, the Romans crushed the revolt of Shimon Bar Kokhba (132 CE), during which Jerusalem and Judea were conquered, and the area of Judea was renamed Palaestina in an attempt to minimize Jewish identification with the land of Israel.

Something I bumped into, this fellow posted a pretty well done line by line examination of the eagle of 2nd Esdras.
Was studying it over twenty years ago and there were parts I just never could wrap my head around. This gentleman gave me a few more pieces to fit together.

There's enough said here so as to have at least something to offend most everyone.
But that doesn't mean it wasn't interesting.
