I just received a 2 cavity saeco 383 from RJM52. Have to wait for things to cool a bit before I can cast. Been over a 100 here by 10 AM. Calling for 105 today.

ID:	266552After casting about 11 pounds of boolits, I measured a few- .355"., too small to work in my Star with .356 sizing die. So today I took them to a friend who in into powder coat and he showed me how to do it. We don't understand how, but the boolits now measure .358,.359.,.360. If they are too big to load as is, I can now run them through the sizer and make then .356. Should have measured the first few when I started casting. Then I could have added tin as need to make them come out .357.

If you don't mind me resurrecting an old thread, how did they shoot?

I've had my eye on that mold for 38 Super and 9mm as well, and a brass mold from Mihec would be awesome.

I use a hard alloy to cast mine. Over 6 grs of Unique. Function is perfect in my 38 Super. I hit a standing jackrabbit a while back. Sent him 6 ft in the air, spun him all around, and he came apart. I love this boolit.

Old thread but I just saw it. I’m a fan of the 383. It’s what usually ends up being the best shooter in my 9mms, so I cast a fair amount of them. I only have a two cavity Saeco mould, so life would be happier with a bigger one.

I’ll keep checking back to see if this takes off. I’ll be in if it does.

If it does would you want to sell me your 2 cavity mold?
