Sounds like people are still getting added to the list.
    How many cavities are optioned?
Yeah I know... I put last call in when the quota has reached the level that Miha has set, but when he actually builds the molds and ships is up to him, based on when he gets all the parts in stock. The 223 molds are sitting around 150 total molds, but I think he is still having a problem getting all the pins made for the HP's.

    Hi everyone,

I talked with Miha yesterday, he is very sorry for all the delay in mold production. There are 2 issues he is dealing with, his supplier of the HP pins and a general shortage (and high cost) of raw materials. It's no different in the USA, if you have tried to buy any steel lately, you are in for a real shock... 2-3 times the cost from "pre-covid" pricing.

The GOOD news is, he has a new lathe coming, is supposed to start it's voyage by sea on the 28th and once it arrives and gets setup, Miha will start making his own pins!! Soon this pin-issue will be behind us. Stay patient and keep posted.

I've never needed a lathe to make guide pins unless they were an odd size, that aspect of them not be changed and there was no round stock available.
I just go someplace like McMaster Carr and order some hardened round stock (tool steel, drill rod, or whatever fits the bill) of the size needed and cut them to length.
If there are 18 molds on this order so far, that's only 36 pins.

They are not guide pins, they are the HP pins. So that is 72 pins (24*3) that have to be shaped, drilled & Tapped.

    Thanks Minerat,

Additionally, Miha usually gives 2-3 sets of different pins with each set of molds, so 72 x 3 is 216. PLUS all the molds in the 65g GB are using the same cherry, so thats another 300+ pins, these two GB's are 500+ pins that are shaped to a very exact size, imagine running your lathe all day for those archange.....

We are still waiting to hear from Miha that the molds are being cut. Yes on the 65g, please go to that thread and post what you want.
