My latest handgun purchase was a well used S&W Model 639 for a custom project... I had most of a Model 439 upper left over from a previous project and wanted to build a retro-style two tone as my primary 9mm. This “Franken-Smith” project is starting to get out of hand though.
With one notable exception (a Model 60-4) all of the Smiths I’ve bought for most of the last decade have been as potential donors for custom projects. I’m beginning to see a pattern emerging here!
