Blued Springfield Armory Garrison in 9mm. Found it on GB for $699.00 After tax, shipping and transfer will be just under $800. I have had a lemon from SA before, hoping this one will be a ringer. Reliable, good trigger and accurate would be nice.....

After about a year on the dealer's list I got a call at 7:00 PM Dec. 23d that my Springfield SA-35 was in for pick up. Got it Monday, and the guy at the counter didn't even know any had come in. A nice lady in the back had literally put my name on it. The trigger is very nice, the sights are very visible, the slide to frame fit is about as good as it gets, and the grips are pretty. Need to find some time without rain to drive 50 miles to the range. GF

Well this Christmas my wife surprise me when shopping. Yes we went to the gun shop.
I was able to pick a new hand gun. With a budget. So I got a GP100 357 mag
    This gun shoots pretty sweet.

Most recent was a Hawes 25 Auto that someone had “varnished” in an attempt to protect, but in the process “glued” the slide and sear. Less than 50 on GB, and I was able to get it functioning again within an hour. Replacement magazine catch should be arriving today, then it’s going to the range.
    **UPDATE**
I did not receive the magazine catch today, but put it in my handgun can anyway, and they happened to have some 25 auto Ammo for sale as well....so...I managed to test it while holding the magazine in place manually. I do not recommend this, but it did work, and the little Hawes did fairly well at 8 yds.

Uberti schofield in 45LC and a 3" barrel. Found it at a gunshow at a price I couldn't refuse. Made in 2005, never shot, still has the original grease on it that needs cleaning away. I have a 5" Schoefield that shoots great. I'm sure this 3" will too.

A Smith & Wesson Model 1 1/2 tip up to add to my collection. Actually, I did not receive a complete gun, it was lacking the cylinder and the hand which I salvaged from the donor gun in the picture. Now I have three different, complete and functioning 1 1/2 revolvers.

oops, not functional. The one in the middle is the new one and the donor cylinder looks right but the timing is off because the donor gun has the cylinder locking bolt on the bottom of the frame and the new gun has the cylinder locking bolt on the top of the frame. I guess I am still looking for a cylinder and now I need parts to complete the donor.

It is a sad kind of funny but on the tip up revolvers I have an excess of frames but with the top break Smiths I am collecting I have an excess of cylinders and barrels and a shortage of frames. I have three barrel/cylinder assemblies without frames and I have the necessary small parts, hammers, triggers, springs, side plates but no extra frames or grips to make complete guns.

I have a 44 Russian barrel cylinder/assembly coming but no extra frame. I am going to clean it up and try it on one of the #3's I have to see if it is OK.

I am certainly not an expert on Antique S&W revolvers but I like them and am trying to save as many from the scrap heap as possible.

I wonder about a few things. First why did the .32 top break end up with a weaker cartridge than the 32 tip ups. I mean, why was the .32 S&W such a short cartridge. It should have been at least as long and more powerful as the .32 rimfire long. Second why didn't they make a top break revolver in .22 lr. They could easily make them on both the #1 1/2 and #2 frames and had some nice guns.
