    I added another Glock to the stables - a used, two-tone G48 9mm single-stack.

I announced it earlier but here's the pic of my Thunder Ranch 44 special after I made a new and slightly higher front sight. I really like the "round-butt-to-Square-Butt" Hogues.

I picked up this 44 cal. 1851 C&B by Pietta. Everything in the picture even the nearly full bottle of Pyrodex P you can barely see for one Benjamin.
Shot it a little last weekend, a bit high but we'll see what I can do about that.

The MC is the only GP100 that does it for me. I just can’t stand full-lug barrels.

I love my 10mm MC, however I don’t buy the hype that they’re specially tuned at the factory.

Mine came with a single hammer shim. There was still enough slop for me to add 2 more. The hammer dog almost had enough room to turn sideways. 3 shims there improved the trigger substantially. It could probably use another, but three was all I could hold in alignment to reinstall the pin.

While I personally like the GP100 as well, when a 10mm MC came through our local gun shop I was greatly disappointed in the trigger. While usable, it certainly wasn't anything *I* would associate with a name like "Match Champion" and it definitely would have needed a lot of work before most people would consider competing with it in any sort of serious manner.

A Tanfoglio Witness in .38 Super. Not a "race gun", but a REAL one, with none of the "neo-maxi-techno-zoom-dweeby" stuff hung on it, that makes it as concealable and portable as a standard double-bell euphonium.

Sorry about the crummy photos, but my cheapo laptop has only a backward-looking camera, and I am a poor contortionist. In the pictures of the pistol, that's the world's sweetest doggie, supervising (but not approving of) my photographic efforts.

Kind of a hesitant buy since a S&W or Ruger can do what it does at half the price but I got it anyway..

I woke up in a cold sweat when I realized I didn't have a Mod 19 S&W. Sooooo, I remedied that problem at the local gun show yesterday.Attachment 305985Attachment 305986
Now I feel much better and the cold sweats have subsided....for now. I've got an Accurate mold that will be perfect for this little treasure.Attachment 305987

You're gonna get the cold sweats again when you realize they come in other barrel lengths.

I know, this fix is only temporary. I feel a 6" calling now. I'm afraid I am going to need professional help!
