Put a three screw Super BlackHawk on layaway yesterday.
$550...didn't need it but couldn't pass up the deal.
Pick it up the first of the month when my pension checks are deposited.

About three weeks ago, I bought myself a SAR USA Sar9 pistol. Sportsmans Warehouse had them on sale for 329.00 + 10.00. I did some researching on the company, and found that the Sarsilmaz manufacturing in Turkey, is the oldest firearms manufacturer, dating back to the 1840's. Every review I read about these pistols was positive, as well as video reviews. I never was much on the 9mm cartridge, as I prefer 40 caliber or larger. But, with all the good press, and the great price, I figured I would give it a go. The pistol itself is very well made. Field stripping is very easily accomplished. The slide itself, is the definition of fine craftsmanship. If there are any machining mark's in or on, they are undetectable. The lower as well is without flaw. I brought it to the gun club the day of purchase, to test fire for function and accuracy. I purchased some Blazer 115 fmj ammo with the piece. I started at 12 yards on 6 steel hangers of 6" diameter. Function was flawless, and 6 plates hit in about 5 seconds. Afterwords, the pistol would constantly hit the 20 and 25 yard plates with ease. The sights are a tried and true white three dot, and they work just fine. Recoil was almost nonexistent. Reviews state that these pistols are basically a glock slide married to a CZ lower. From everything that I've read, these pistols have gone through a rigorous torture test for the Turkish military, and other European militaries. I think I'm going to like this pistol, and probably enjoy that little 9mm cartridge as well. Since then, I have purchased another for my son in law. His functioned flawlessly as well.
    Regards
    Jack

Well the "latest" handgun I bought would be a tie. I had ordered in a new Colt Python and when I went to pick it up there was a Ruger Wrangler .22 in the display that also went home with us.

I might be marked as a "terrorist" now as when you buy more than one gun in a week they have to send a special note to the feds.

I bought a Guncrafter Industries Bobtail Commander in 50 GI with a spare 45 ACP BBL. I hand load both smokeless and BP. She shoots really soft with 275gr FMJ at 775fps. I'm getting supplies to tryPP. It's nice now that I'm retired I have time to play.

I bought a used Bond Arms Roughneck derringer in 45 ACP. The previous owner surely didn’t fire it much as it looks new. I shot anout 10 shots at a box in the yard at 30’ and the bottom barrel is pretty much right on with the crude sights the top barrel shoots about 5-6” higher but for what it is that’s OK.

I happened to see this in a case of used guns and left it for a few days. it was a Miracle it was still there the next time I looked, so I bought it. S&W 915. double action on first shot , or pull the hammer back, single action on subsequent shots, Hammer drop safety. I'll have to get used to it. It ate my reloads without a hiccup and was very pleasant to shoot.

I have to make an addendum to my original post as I just picked up a S&W Model 3 in .44 Russian

A dear friend of mine put me on to this beautiful remake from EMF, an Alchimista III in .45 Colt with a 5 1/2" barrel.

I had no idea what EMF even meant, so I had to google - Early Modern Firearms Company: https://www.emf-company.com/

They have some sweet lookers there for sure.

Yep, they're not beautiful to all - but this beholder thinks they're gorgeous!
All belonged to ancestors (20+ years of looking to get them) I have shot them all - and I don't believe that they'll be going anywhere while I draw breath.

Bought myself a Glock 44 for my Birthday today and bullseye powder. My son and my wife bought me some blue dot and a scope. It was nice surprise when my LGS handed them to me. He said you will find out who it's from when you get home.
