Not my latest purchase, but tonight a dear family member gifted me this somewhat unconventional piece. It isn't your typical S&W...but I love it.

Our Dan Wesso 41 Mag with a 8" heavy shroud. Still the most accurate revolver we have ever owned.
But there is a BFR 475 that is a near #2..............

Had an early Browning Challenger 22 6"+ barrel (1960s) gifted to me by an in-law. Wouldn't even take the shipping and transfer fees for it. I suspect it grades to about 90-95%.
Also bought one of those Turkish 1911s that were on sale in KY for $329.99 last week. Cost me $350 landed here (NH) with all fees. Looks well made and tight. Trigger is not really too bad. Expect it to shoot as well as can be expected using the military sights.

I have been curious about those for a while now. Is the cylinder too big to fit inside the waistband?

Depends.... for fat boys like me there's barely room enough for ME inside my waistband! LOL
Seriously, I can't speak for people of a different build, but it would be pretty uncomfortable for me personally. This particular gun is more of a fancy keepsake/heirloom and probably will be used more casually on occasion than be carried concealed.

I got a new pistol on Saturday at a local gun show. Cousin had 3 tables and I was helping, and I had contributed a few things including a BNZ43 98K. Feller traded for it with a fair amount of boot and a Tisas Turkish made 1911A1. Never heard of it before. But at first glance I thought it was a Remington Rand 1911A1. Looked it up on the internet and it appeared to be a pretty good copy of the 1911A1. I will probably trade it, but I may run a few rounds through it. Have not checked the trigger weight, but it feels like about 5 pounds. The reviews of it are pretty decent.

Bought a Walther WMP 22WMR a few moths back the day after they were released. Took it out today and found out the red dot battery was dead at the range. Guess I will get to brake it in another day.

Got on a 1911 kick this month. Picking up two more Tisas (SDS Imports) .45’s
Both are stainless, one is their SSR model and the other is their Ultimate Match with hand lapped barrel. Guess I’ll find out just how good the Turks are at building a quality 1911.

Picked up a little used 2019 vintage blued Ruger commander. Previous owner had added Novak night sights, an ambi safety, an 18# spring, a set of dark brown G10 grips and it came with 2 mags. Got it for a very good price. I hope to get it out to the range on Tuesday. GF

Further digging on this pistol makes me believe what I got was a 2019 vintage TALO Night Watch Commander that has had the ambi safety added. The Ruger serial number site simply shows it as a 2019 commander, but the photos I've seen are a match and the original grips came with the gun. GF

Just won a S&W hand ejector in 32-20 chrome plated with a 5” barrel. Love the 32-20 caliber! Easy to reload and fun to shoot! Tim

Shot my new Walther WMP last week for the first time. It’s back at Walther. Non stop FTFs, FTE, and light primer strikes. Magazines have over a quart inch of vertical play when locked in place. After some research I’m not the only one with the same issue. Guess all their years of research on producing the WMP they still didn’t get it right. Imo a 22WMR chambering doesn't belong in semi autos.

Here’s a video of the magazine play after being locked in place…
