I've been hankering for a 4" SP101 in 327 Mag but then I think I've got 6 38s and two 357s and would need to get molds, loading & sizing dies and brass and suddenly the feeling goes away.
Last pistol was a S&W 17-6 with a 6" heavy bbrl. Bought as a whim and shot very little, just too heavy for a .22LR. Thinking I'd trade it for a SP101 but can't work up the gumption to make a swap yet.
I am not Shure which was last but it was either my S&W 625-3 in 45ACP using half moon clips or my Virginian dragoon in 45colt.
I have a Rock Island 1911 in .45ACP on layaway at a local shop.
Pick it up the first of the month when my pension checks are deposited.
A couple of months back I had a call from my LGS about a new Python that I ordered in July. While I was waiting on the "instant" check I spotted another Python on the used display. 1960, 6" blue. Only flaw was grip change. Very light ring, light carbon on cylinder face.
Fired 6 shots through each. Probably the only 6 through the 1960. Handloads with 158 LSWC, 7.5 gr 800-X
Walther PPQ Navy, I had the barrel shortened to 106.7MM by cutting off the suppressor threads. I will use the gun in IDPA CCP Division. We will never see suppressors being legalized in Canada so shortening the barrel extension just made sense. The 4" or 102MM version is not legal up here.

Its been months since I bought the book, "How to scam people online". It still has not arrived yet!

Last October, the wife wanted a concealed carry handgun. We went to the LGS and picked out a new, in box S&W 60. I, a week later picked up a S&W 67 Combat Masterpiece. I love both guns. She hates the 60. So, yesterday we went to the LGS and picked up a pair (his and hers) Sarzilmaz SAR 9 semi autos. Turkish built NATO 9s. Her purse is huge! The 4 inch semi auto is her purse carry gun.
I like the SAR 9. Out of the box, it has a good trigger. Reset is crisp. You can feel and hear it when dry firing. The pistols come with two 17 round magazines, case and cleaning rod. Just ordered a Lee 9 mm/125 gr mold and die set. Being a European made firearm, I'll try sizing with the .358 sizing die before seeing if I need something smaller.
Bought another Ruger Wrangler the other day. Couldn't pass it up. The dealer at the show was having a poor sales day so he let me have a brand new in the box "bronze" for $175 out the door. Said he was only making $10 on it, but needed to pay the motel bill! I tried to walk away, but it just kept calling my name. I hate when that happens....
Hi...
Picked up my new Rock Island 1911 in .45ACP the first of the month.
Ran some rounds through it Sunday...nice gun.
No problem ringing steel plates out to 25yds.
One failure to feed...slide didn't lock back two times.
More testing for reliability required.
In the interim I bought a used Ruger
BlackHawk in .30Carbine on Saturday.
Couldn't find any ammunition at a reasonable price and apparently die sets are unobtainable.
No worries...I will find a set eventually.
The last two handguns I've got are finally a matching pair. S&W M63 and M60 with matching Altamont grips and (almost) identical front sights. If I could just get some primers I will be dialing in the M60. The M63 is nearly the perfect gun - shoots straight, no recoil, reliable with all ammo. Jury is still out on the M60, but so far I think I'll be able to keep things on target with 38spl-level loads.
It's lovely to be able to use the same holsters for both guns.
I'm a big fan of data-driven decisions. You want to make me smile, show me a spreadsheet! Extra points for graphs and best-fit predictive equations.
1946 made Hi Standard HD Military 6 1/2" in pristine condition. One of the first 500 or so off the line after WW2. The trigger is phenomenally light right out of the box. I don't shoot much .22 but I HAD to have this one.
Just before that a 1930 made S&W Hand Ejector 5" in 32-20. Another one in great 95+% condition. Assembling mould, bullets and brass right now. This one I am going to shoot!
Collector and shooter of guns and other items that require a tax stamp, Lead and brass scrounger. Never too much brass, lead or components in inventory! Always looking to win beauty contests with my reloads.
