Now would be a good time to get some ingot molds into stock, so you can start stock-piling lead ingots... I'm corona-virus free and will ship molds out same day I receive payment...

View post #1 for all the details.

I am impressed by these. Would love to know the actual size (dimensions) of an ingot produced in these molds?

I can't believe that you can get 30 lbs. in a SFRB.

    Thanks,

    DC-1

My molds arrived today. Actual Ingot Dimensions when cast to 2.5 pounds are: (1.5" Wide x 5.4" Long and 0.875" Tall).

DC- it depends on alloy type and how you pour/fill every cavity. I can get 29lbs into the SFRB of PB using a careful pour process...

Let me know if you are ready yo try some, I'll send them out tomorrow!

    Thanks,

    Chris

I like your molds but I have pushed, since 2012, for a mold with the Cast Boolits girl riding the boolit. And a small percentage of the sale to go to this site. Of course, that arrangement would have to be worked out with the owner of Cast Boolits since it's his logo. I'll take the first several!!

    John,

Thank you, I'm glad you like the molds. I've put a great deal of design, manufacturing and sales time into getting these created. And no profit to date. I've put out $5K of my own money to get the dies machined, parts made and shipped over to me. So far I've sold about $3K in molds. I've given away molds in a raffle, given molds to the site owner and to nearly every moderator. I think I've been more than generous, even while my wife calls me crazy...

Regarding the logo, I already received approval to use the logo and "could" have included the girl, but the details didnt transfer into the mold dies well enough and additional detail get lost when casting them into ingots. So instead of doing a lackluster job, I removed it from the design.

I hope this helps and answers your questions. Any support you may be able to give, might allow me to try doing this again in the future. As of now, I have 100's of molds in my garage and cant justify doing this again.

It does sound like you have been extremely generous and you've provided a good history lesson too. It's too bad the girl won't transfer well!!!
    Thanks and hang in there.

As I recall, he offered the girl as an option and most preferred the regular Cast Boolits logo. I have 10 of these moulds, in Castboolits and Redneck Gold styles, and they work extremely well, especially if you are like me and like to save up all your scrap and do it all at once. Makes for no waiting when you can pour 50 plus lbs at once.

    Hey Chris:

I sold some lead and have the cash in my PayPal account. Sounds like a good time to make a purchase!

I would like Six (6) of the Redneck Gold molds. Please send me a bill via e-mail or PM with your PayPal address and the total including shipping and I'll shoot you a payment via "Friends and Family" right away.

    Thanks,

    DC-1

Update: My molds arrived today. Actual Ingot Dimensions when cast to 2.5 pounds are: (1.5" Wide x 5.4" Long and 0.875" Tall).

Very nice. I highly recommend these!

Thanks DC-1 for the praise! I appreciate it very much!

For everyone else, I've got many more of these in stock, maybe you have more time at home with this quarantine? What a great time to be doing a solitary activity in your garage or outside...

    PM me with your order.

    Thanks,

    Lakehouse2012
