    Casting/ shooting 450 bushmaster rifle

Hi guys I’m looking for advice on getting the proper lube sizer die for the Ruger American bolt action rifle in 450 bushmaster. Factory bullets are sized .452 for factor ammo,, so when casting boolits for this rifle would I get a .453 lube sizer die ? Any help or advice is greatful.

I sent a friend of mine some boolits sized .452 and he was able to take a deer last year with his 450 Bushmaster. I’d slug the bore to confirm what size you’d need if there is any doubt.

What mold are you using for the 450bm?

I don’t have or load for the 450 BM. The boolits my friend took his deer with were the Lee 452-252 SWC which finish at 260gr powder coated and checked. I also sent him some of the Lee C452-300-RF which finish at 310gr powder coated and checked but they didn’t stabilize well in his rifle. `

I shoot .454 dia re sized cast from .458+ with good results. (Sub moa)

My fun lod is a Lyman 450g as a sub with unique. My hunting is a 330g Gould express bullet on top
Of enough 5744 to reach accuracy. For me that was just over 1500 fps. Devastating on game less recoil than factory. I also shoot a Lyman 295g bullet at about 2000 fps with good accuracy. All powder coated. All in same RARR.
My MSR dosent like the cast as much. As I need to use different powders and they are not as accurate for it. So that rifle eats 200 FTX @ 2500 fps with #9 powder. (200's keep recoil down and preformance on game has been outstanding. But I doubt a very large heavy animal would get full
Penetration. Deer and pigs do see 100% penetration and large exits.
