    Krag carbine stock

Was cruising through ebay yesterday. One seller had an 1896 (not quite sure of the exact date CRS) krag carbine stock. Well the bidding was up to almost $800.00 bucks. And that isn't a typo. Had to look at it three times. Man is he ever going to have a Merry Christmas. Frank

...............If that's the case, I wonder what a whole Krag carbine would bring?

Buckshot, kinda makes you wonder don't it?. Who in their right mind ( or left as the case may be) would pay that much just for the stock?. Like I said I looked at it three times just to make sure the eyes were not playing tricks on me. I'm very happy with my bubbaized pennsylvania 1898 krag thank you very much. If I wanted a carbine just cut the bbl down and put on a 03 front sight. But I'll leave it as is cause I think that the krags wether bubbaized or not are real works of the machinist's art. Darned if I can figure out how they made some of the cuts that they did. Frank
