ACTIVE: MP - 45-70 Carbine HP mold, 4-cav brass or 6-cav solid

This thread is now in Active

Here is a 45.2.1 design in 45-70 for Carbines. I will offer it in 0.459" or 0.462" diameter and can be sized all the way down to 0.454" . Bob has shot this for years "and it's very accurate...."

This is a fantastic bullet for game hunting in the fall, lets see if there is enough interest to get it build by November.

Mold can be either 2-cav or 4-cav Brass or 6-cav Alum (You choose)
    - Casting at 0.459 or 0.462 (You choose)
    - Flat or Bevel base (You choose)
    - Steel sprue plate
    - Allen keys are included
    - RCBS/Lyman top punch is included
    - Uses MP mold handles or LEE 6 cavity handles (NOT included but you can add for an +$20)
    - Sample of sprue lube is included (15ml)

The solid will weigh 300 grain with WW
Large round pin for the HP is 287 gr
    Penta pin will be 292gr
Cup pin will be 294gr with WW.

Gonna be tough to get people interested since the pin issue. I'm on a 45-70 buy that closed over a year ago and still hasn't resolved.
If it ain't broke don't fix it! I disagree with what you say, but I will defend your right to say it to the death! When people fear the government it is tyranny, when government fears the people it is Liberty!

Agreed, except I talked with him today and the HP issue is getting cleaned up, there are 3 molds that will deliver in the next week, and the remaining will get out by in of August. He's really working this hard!

For me, the diameter is too large
Solid with crimp groove and HiTek/PC would work if it was .459" max
    Just a thought

No 2-cavity option? I prefer rather 2 than 4 cavity when diameter and weight is that what this one is. I would hop in if 2-cavity can be choose. No matter how long it takes to go on mill.

Miha will only be shipping via DHL from now on and i think no more invoicing, rather youll be notified the order is ready and you purchase (similar pay methods) on his website.

This is going to be a HUGE time saver for

Im sorry squints, i can only run this in .459 and 462. If you can make this work, sizing .002 shouldnt be very much work.
