Different powders in the .35 Remington

Has anyone shot H380 or BL-C(2) in the .35 Remington? The old RCBS Cast bullet manual gives loads for H380 with the 200 gr. cast bullet and the Hodgon manual shows loads with the latter for a 200 jacketed. I have 2-3 lbs of each of these on hand so I was just wondering.

I always thought (going from memory here) that BLC-2 was basically H-335, which I have used plenty of, in 35, in 7TCU, even 308 and '06... I believe my data came from the Lyman cast bullet handbook...#, ???

I think how close your BLC-2 is to H335 depends upon how long ago your BLC-2 was produced but even at that, it's still a matter of working up the load.
I'm planning on trying out some SRB118.

I've used BL-C2 in some jacketed loads, a compressed case full of MY lot of BL-C2 under the 220 grain Speer jacketed using a CCI-250 primer gave excellent accuracy and 2200fps in MY Marlin 336C in 35 Rem. Your rifle and powder may not be safe with this load information, work up in your rifle. I have found BL-C2 to be temperature sensitive, reducing at least 2 grains from below 50*F to above 80*F.

When I had a model 81 Remington I used H380 with a Sierra 200gr rn with very good results.

My favorite cast bullet load in my .35Rem Marlin is 39.5gr of BLC2. Gets 2,000fps with RCBS 200gr FNGC (220gr as cast).
Max is about 42.0gr with a 200gr Jacketed.
It’s NOT the same as H335 or Win 748.
It’s a bit slower. Nothing better in the .303Brit, for which it was originally developed.

H380 is even slower yet. Never used it in a .35. Might be worth trying!

I've used it in the ole 30-30's, but never tried it in the 35's.
I usually use 3031, or 4198 with my 200-205 cast in the 35's.
